Homer Electric 2022 Election Results
Homer Electric Association announced the results of its 2021 Board Election at its May 5 Annual Meeting. A total of 4263 eligible votes were cast, representing about 16 percent of eligible member-owners. This represented a slight drop-off from 2021, when over 20 percent of members voted, but is in line with average turnouts over the past decade. The overwhelming majority of votes were cast by mail, with just 22 members voting at the meeting.
In District 1, Wayne Ogle was elected with just under 50 percent of the votes cast, with the remainder of the vote split evenly between Summer Lazenby and Daniel Hyman.
In District 2, Dan Furlong, who ran unopposed, was elected.
In District 3, incumbent Erin McKittrick was re-elected, receiving a little over half of votes cast, against challengers Troy Jones, Lonnie Lambert, and Dr. Douglas A. Stark.
