How utilities are holding their public meetings

With Alaskans sheltering in their homes and gatherings restricted to halt the spread of coronavirus, the Railbelt electric co-ops are having their April Board of Director meetings — normally held in their offices and open to the public — via teleconference. Here's how to listen in and speak at your co-op's upcoming virtual meeting.

Homer Electric Association

Listen and comment on HEA's April 14, 2020 board meeting by calling 1-669-800-5335 and entering meeting ID 748-8782#.

HEA's Renewable Energy Committee will start at 10:30 a.m, with a regular board meeting scheduled to start at 12 p.m. The directors are also scheduled to meet as the Alaska Energy and Electricity cooperative — HEA's infrastructure-owning subsidiary, which is lead by the same directors — at 1 p.m.

Chugach Electric Association

Listen and comment at CEA's April 22 board meeting by calling 669-202-3202 at 4 p.m and entering access code 7884687.

To listen and comment at MEA's April 13 board meeting, contact the MEA office at (907) 761-9212 no later than 2:00 p.m that day to receive the call-in number.
