MEA 2021 Election Results

Matanuska Electric Association announced the results of its 2021 board election at its April 27 annual meeting. A total 3,433 votes were cast for an approximately 12% turnout among eligible members.

In MEA’s Matanuska District, incumbent Mark Masteller was re-elected with three quarters of the vote against challenger Brandi Burchett.

Mark Hamm was elected in a very close five-way race for the Eagle River District, beating opponents Dan Flodin and Jackie Endsley by two and three percentage points respectively, as well as Stephany Jeffers and Donn Liston.
